Willaston AC warmed up for Sunday's final match in the Wirral Winter League with a trip to the Leeds and Liverpool canal at Lydiate.

Ellesmere Port's Neil Faulkner came out on top in Saturday's Chester Tackle Locker open match on the Shropshire Union canal in Waverton with a 6-12-0 mix of small roach and perch taken to bloodworm.

Ellesmere Port entrants dominated Saturday's open match at the Hampton Springs Fishery with Peter Price top rod with mainly carp for 38-10-0.

Steve Boyd was runner-up with 29-0-0 of carp while Billy Gore was third with 22-4-0 of carp.

Peter also finished third in their Sunday open match with carp for 37-4-0.
