MOTOR SPORT: ELF Clio Renaultsport UK Cup Champion Paul Rivett (Banstead) is to replace 2001 series title winner Danny Buxton at Boulevard Team Racing for the remainder of the season - the latter finally opting to end his Clio Cup career and concentrate 100% on the British Touring Car Championship.
Danny said: 'This has perhaps been the hardest choice I've had to make and I'm so disappointed to leave Boulevard Team Racing, especially when we've come so close to winning the championship.
'The whole team has been so good to me and my family and making the call was the hardest thing I've ever had to do.
'But to concentrate solely on the touring cars is what I have to do for my career - in reality I have been left with no choice at all other than to pursue what I've been working towards for the last four years.'
Buxton, who lives at Hartford, had tried once to race in both events at the same meeting and found it too exhausting to give either his best efforts.
