Paul Butler plans on winning the world super-flyweight title by stopping champion Zolani Tete.

The Ellesmere Port fighter will challenge the IBF title holder on October 25 at the ECHO Arena in Liverpool.

Butler won the IBF bantamweight crown in June but quickly relinquished the belt in order to move back down to super-fly.

And promoter Frank Warren has secured the Wirral fighter an immediate show at the world title by agreeing for IBF king Tete to travel to Merseyside next month.

"He is a tall southpaw so he is going to be awkward," said Butler.

"He is a decent kid and if you give him time and space then he will be a handful so we need to break up his rhythm and I think I can force the stoppage."

Butler believes the home crowd can play their part in his bid to win a second world title: "You saw how many fans we took up to Newcastle when I challenged for the bantamweight world title in June and hopefully we can double that at the ECHO Arena."

Promoter Francis Warren says Butler's fight with Tete is still awaiting official sanctioning from the IBF but terms between both fighters have been agreed.
