DIVISION One leaders Grapes A had things almost all their own way in the Frodsham and District League.

Maurice Dunbebin (21-16) was the only winner for opponents Castle Park.

Tiger’s Head A remained in second, despite losing at home to Red Lion A who are immediately behind them.

Red Lion B (Eric Bold 21-3, Peter Hulse 21-6) leapfrogged their beaten visitors Kingswood B into fourth.

Helsby D (John Clements 21-8) stayed in mid-table after seeing off their Chetwode A guests.

Helsby B remained top of Division Two although beaten at second-placed Norton Arms B (Jon Terretta 21-6).

Subscription A (Dave Walker 21-5) and Manley A (Roy Southerton 21-7) savoured home success against Cons Club A and Subscription B respectively.

War Memorial B were surprise winners at Helsby A.

Halton RBL A (Ted Edwards 21-7) are new leaders of Division Three after overpowering visiting Kingsley A, while Chetwode B (Jen Dutton 21-6) top Division Four. At home, they comfortably disposed of Kingsley B.

Hazel Pear (Mike Dale 21-1) were too strong for Manley B as were Union Tavern (John Evans 21-4) for Helsby C.
