BOB Vickers landed the top fish of the day in Sunday's Mickle Trafford AC match fished at Llyn Brenig.

He hooked a 3-4-0 pike but it was not enough for him to clinch victory as Andy Jones took four rainbows weighing 8-2-0 to emerge as the match winner.

Brian Summerville (4-8-0) won the Grosvenor Estate AC match on Eaton Hall's Serpentine while Graham Knox (7-9-0) netted five rainbows to secure victory in the Capenhurst Flyfishers match fished from the banks of Llyn Brenig.

First home in the Wednesday evening Lobol AC match fished on priory pool was Danny Boothroyd.

He took 11-4-0 to edge out Linda Cooke with a mixed 6-1-0.

Leader in the club's Sunday match on the arena pool at the Cudmore Fishery was Kevin Cooke with 50-8-0.

Colin Dorincourt (9-12-0) secured victory in the Blacon Social Club AC match, fished on the Lower Ridge Farm Fishery, while Paul Morrelle (4-5-0) landed first in the Egerton Arms AC match.

Colin Owen took 4-6-0 to win the Railway Barrow AC match fished on the River Severn at Gravel Hill while Harry Gittins (6-11-0) stole the show when the Rivacre AC fished on the Trent and Mersey Canal at Duttons Sticks.

Top rod of the day was Alan Jones (3-11-0) when the Malpas AS fished on club waters while Billy Mason (29-9-0) topped in the Neston Match Anglers contest on beech pool at the Burton Mere Fishery.

Neil Bristow (45-9-0) reeled in first in the Caldy AS match on the Lloyds Meadow Fishery while Geoff Dentith (37-4-0) won the Wednesday open match on the Tarvin Sands Fishery.

Leader in the Saturday match on the same venue was Chris Diamond with 64-0-0.

John Bristow triumphed in the Manley AC match on Old Hall Farm pool. He won with carp and tench to weigh 25-8-0 to leave Steve Roxburgh (24-0-0) in second.

Les Picken (97-14-0) was the front runner in the midweek open match on Beech pool at the Burton Mere Fishery while Paul Langley (38-0-0) emerged as top rod when the Castrol SAS fished out of Aberdovey.

First went to Alan Jones (58-0-0) in the midweek Tuesday Rovers AC match on the long island pool at the Hampton Springs Fishery, while Mark Greasley (5-12-0) topped in the Cheshire Police AC match on the River Mersey at Warrington and Jamie Swain (38-14-0) stole the show in the Lingmere Fishery Open match.
