ALBION, Navvy, Halfway A and Union Tap all won through in their second-round Town Championship matches in the Runcorn Apec Taxis Darts Lea gue.
A 17-dart game from Nick Hough and an 18-darter, including a 108 finish, by John Kilkenny plus a maximum throw from Nigel Peterson, helped Albion cruise to a 7-2 victory over Pavilions.
Navvy's 7-2 win over Prospect Has Beens included a 17-dart game from Neil Ward while there were 5-4 victories for Halfway A and Union Tap against Tricorn and Grapes, respectively.
In the Executive Competition, Tranny Lads were 4-2 down against Dock Lads but fought back to win 5-4. Steve Allan finished in 18 darts for the winners.
Halfway Gents put in a good performance to beat Navvy Lads 7-2 while an all-Section Three clash saw Burma run out 6-3 winners against Total Confusion.
Wanderers made their way into the semi-finals with a 6-3 win over Dray.
Semi-finals in the Town Championship and Executive Competition will be played tonight (Thursday, April 5).
On Friday, 16 pairs competed for last-four places in the Doubles Competition.
Winning through were Paul Melia & John Kilkenny (Albion), Neil Ward & Peter Murphy ((Navvy), Wayne Conway & James Baines (Halfway Mixed) and Sean Bell & Graham Littlemore (Navvy).
The competition produced an 18-dart game from Neil Ward and Peter Murphy with Ward finishing on 108 (one, 57, bull).
Holders Neil Connor & Steve Roberts (Halfway A) exited despite a 13-dart game.
* Thursday, April 12 sees the first of the league's six finals nights.
This will be staged at the War Memorial Club where Halfway A and Albion will meet for the Apec Taxis Knockout Cup final.
Tranny Rovers and Bennett's Boys fight it out in the Section Four final of the Committee Challenge Cup.
Friday, April 13 brings the final of the Chairman's Challenge Cup, featuring Albion and Navvy Lads and also the Section Three final of the Committee Challenge Cup between Prospect Has Beens and Welly.
This is also at War Memorial Club and teams involved are reminded play on both nights starts at 8pm, the order of play being drawn on the night.
