SNOOKER: IN a rearranged Chester and District League Liberal Division match the top two United Services A and Conservative A fought out a 3-3 draw.
Lea Dagher got the ball rolling for Cons with a good 44 break. Dave Sharpes levelled for Services before Neal Jones and Eddie Jenkins put Cons 3-1 up.
The leaders did not surrender lightly and fought out a draw when Paul Ellis and Alan Platt won the last two games of the evening.
In The C.D. McAllister Cup second division Conservative B did well to knock out Wings A. Liam Williams won the first match of the night for Cons by 54 points and further wins by Bryan Morgan and George Lofthouse saw them home by 84 points.
In the third division clash of this competition Upton RBL B entertained St Theresa's A and what a match it turned out to be.
The visitors gifted Upton a 14 points start, but after Alan Cheers, Shawn McCullough and Kenny Owens had won Saints were 25 ahead.
Mike Wilkes put Upton back in the lead with a 37 point win over Ray Waters, but Andy Garland restored St Theresa's lead.
In the final frame Alan Coombes overpowered Ray Cheers by 39 points to give Upton the win by 16 points
Merseyside Champion of Champions St Theresa's B were back at the George Scott Snooker Club on Sunday to compete in the semi-final of this competition.
They played St Elizabeth's from the Liverpool Catholic League and reached the final 3-2 with wins from Barry Charker, Wayne Amey and Mike Davies.
In the final against Kirkby Robbie Hayes lost the first frame and Amey was caught at the post after having a 40-point lead and lost on the black, Charker comfortably won his match before Davies lost to give Kirkby the match 3-1 and the title.
