A COMFORTABLE 54-33 win on Friday for the Jets U15 boys over Blue Coat Knights saw Kyle Squire finish top scorer with 16 points.

The Jets found their rhythm through Squire, Jack Griffiths and Jordan Smith.

A slow start on Sunday for the boys didn’t stop them making it two wins on the trot with a battling performance against Barrow Thorns. Smith and Griffiths led the Jets to a solid 59-48 win.

The U14 boys bolted out the blocks to lead 17-0 just six minutes into the first quarter against Barrow Thorns. The Jets recorded a resounding 80-37 victory to continue their unbeaten run. Danny Bostock led the scorers with 18 points while Jack Griffiths and Adam Jones scored 14 points each.

The U13 boys destroyed Leeds Carnegie on Saturday morning 83-26. The Jets’ full court press was too much for Leeds. Top scorers were Zak Baird (23), Lewis Hamilton (20) and Cameron Mackay (11).

The Jets went on to play Bradford Dragons, dominating all four quarters to record a 119-27 victory over the Yorkshire side. Zak Baird topped the scoreboard with 39 points, closely followed by Jake Smith (20) and Lewis Halpin (20).

The U16 girls crossed the Pennines to Doncaster where a tough defensive display didn’t stop Donny winning 46-29. Katie Williams shot 15 points to lead the Jets’ scorers.

The last home game of the day saw the Jets women take on Northumbria in a closely fought Division Two North league game. A tight first half saw the Jets go in 38-26 up but the game ended 70-61 to the visitors. Jets’ top scorers were Alleana Reddy (26) and Corinne Stone (21).
