Cheshire Jets 88Glasgow Rocks 83 (O/T)
A STUNNING comeback saw Jets take their clash with the Rocks into overtime before registering a valuable BBL victory.
Shawn Myers and Colin O'Reilly led the hosts to victory after one period of overtime.
Both bagged 20 points, with Chez Marks stepping up when needed to finish with 19 points.
After a first half in which there was little to tell between the sides, the third quarter was a miserable one for the Northgate Arena faithful.
The Rocks blasted the home side away and, 30 seconds into the final period, the Jets were 23 points down at 66-43.
But with their backs against the wall, the resilient Jets came out fighting and made a brave 23-7 run to slice the visitors’ lead to just seven points.
They outscored their opponents 31-10 in the period to draw level for the first time in the game, 74-74, with just 14 seconds left.
In overtime, Jets went 79-76 up before the Rocks hit back to tie things at 79-79. But O’Reilly scored three before Marks took three trips to the foul line to put the game beyond the Rocks.
Jets are away to Worcester Wolves in Saturday and host Worthing Thunder on Sunday (5.30pm).
