YET another winner at Bangor-on-Dee is poised for a top race at the Cheltenham National Hunt Festival in March.

The latest is Rosslea - from the yard of Henrietta Knight and in the ownership of Jim Lewis, whose Best Mate has won the Chel -tenham Gold Cup for the last two years.

The five-year-old was mightily impressive in Friday's Malise Nicolson Novices' Chase, which he won by 17 lengths.

Now the Royal & SunAlliance Novices' Chase is on the agenda for March.

His supporters at Bangor-on-Dee were rewarded with a 3-1 price. If they continue to fancy him for Cheltenham, he's at 20-1. The final fixture of 2003 at Bangor-on-Dee Racecourse is on Wednesday, December 17. Admission to the Course Enclosure is £6 while the Paddock Enclosure is £12. Accompanied children enter free.
