TWO West Cheshire AC juniors have pushed themselves into the spotlight with impressive distance running appearances.

Louis Humphreys and Kerry Riley were among nearly 300 runners to complete the Sutton Six 10k Road Race from Guilden Sutton, Chester, on Sunday.

Louis posted 40 minutes 12 seconds for 46th position overall and second under 20 junior finisher at the 6.2-mile event, organised by West Cheshire AC.

The duo used the race as preparation for a busy winter racing schedule which will include cross-country events and the occasional Borders Road Running League appearances.
