SEVERAL West Cheshire AC members opened their track and field season in North Wales on Saturday.

The Deeside Spring Open was staged at Deeside Stadium in Connah’s Quay.

West Cheshire’s under 20 lady Alice McMahon clocked 12.0 seconds in her 100m race and Alice Barnsley posted 13.4 in her U13 girls 100m, while Taylor Kearns achieved 13.9 in the U13 boys 100m.

Ellie Finn posted 11.8 seconds in the U11 girls 80m and 2:03 in her 600m, while U20 ladies Ali Bukett (63.2) and Emma Johnson (67.2) competed in the U20 women’s 400m.

Senior lady Bryony Potter clocked 64.8 in her 400m appearance.

Sam Grinter (2:36.4) and Joseph Morrison (2:38.2) completed the U13 boys 800m and Sophie Hemingbrough posted 2:42.7 in the U13 girls 800m.

At the same meeting, West Cheshire’s Paul Morrison clocked 1:58.4 in his U11 boys 600m while Tamsin O’Keefe (2:04) and Anna Crayston (2:05) completed the U11 girls 800m.

Katie Clarke rounded the U15 girls 1,500m in 5:41.3, while Evan Roberts clocked 5:27 and Jac Goodall 5:46.9 in the U13 boys 1,500m.

Zac Barnsley posted 24.8 in his U15 boys 200m, while Taylor Kearns (29.9) and Ewan Brandon (33.4) completed the U13 boys 200m. Tamsin O’Keefe clocked 24.3 in her U11 girls 150m.

On a busy day of action for West Cheshire, Olivia Montez-Brown won the U17 ladies triple jump with 10.72m and the shot with 9.47m. Sophie Percival triumphed in the U17 ladies javelin with 26.36m and Alice Barnsley achieved 3.83m in the U13 girls long jump.
