SIX West Cheshire AC starlets will pull on the Cheshire vest at this weekend’s English Schools Track & Field Championships.

Aidan Stoakley, Kelly Baker, Alice McMahon, Olivia Montez-Brown, Alice Jennings and Jenni Potter will be part of the 35-strong county squad that heads to Gateshead on Friday for the start of the big two-day event.

Also included in the travelling party is former Wests member Amy Williams and Ellesmere Port-based Danielle Bentley.

Upton-by-Chester High School student Stoakley will go for glory in the senior boys 100m while Bishops’ Blue Coat High School’s Baker will be out to better the silver medal she won last year when she takes part in the intermediate girls shot.

McMahon is focusing her sights on success in the intermediate girls 100m while fellow Ellesmere Port Catholic High School student Montez-Brown aims to impress in the intermediate girls 80m hurdles.

Chester Catholic High School’s Jennings will line-up in the intermediate girls 300m hurdles whereas Neston High School’s Potter will be among the intermediate girls hammer competitors.

The Queen’s School’s Williams, meanwhile, is out to add another medal to her bulging collection with success in the junior girls long jump and Bentley will be targeting a medal in the senior girls javelin.
