THREE West Cheshire AC members produced excellent performances at the Northern Indoor Open Track & Field Meeting.

Alice Barnsley won the under 15s girls 60m at the Sheffield event in a personal best time of 8.52 seconds while her brother, Zac, claimed the U17s boys 60m crown in a club record time of 7.37 seconds before racing to success in the 150m in 17.46 seconds.

Emily Ball took part in the women’s shot, finishing fourth overall and as the second U17s competitor with a put of 10.38m.

Tamsin O’Keefe continued her impressive form by winning the under 11s girls race at the North Staffs Cross Country League match at Stafford Common in six minutes and 11 seconds.

Backed up by Ellie Finn (seventh in 6:33) and Emma Bissell (12th in 6:42), O’Keefe helped West Cheshire AC finish second in the U11s girls standings.

Sonny Dean (second in 5:51) and Paul Morrison (third in 5:56) achieved top-three finishes as Wests won the U11s boys competition, while Issy Clarke (third in 6:02) led the club’s U13s girls team to third position, supported by Hannah Bissell (13th in 6:48) and Rebecca Rees (18th in 7:17).

There was also a third-placed finish for the U13s boys team of Jac Goodall (11th in 11:16), Curtis Rodway (12th in 11:20), Sam Grinter (13th in 11:20) and Rory Willson (27th in 13:10). Katie Clarke (11:00) was the third U15s girl home.

Joe Foy finished second in the over 55 age group and 68th overall in 89 minutes and 14 seconds at the Conwy Half Marathon.

He was joined at the event by West Cheshire AC clubmates Jim Jones (282nd in 99:55) and Peer Ovesen (636th in 1.52:15).

A dozen members of Ellesmere Port Running Club were also in action in Conwy.

First home for the club was Peter Geoghan in one hour, 28 minutes and 32 seconds.

He was followed by Dave Nalder (1.29:41), Mike Burns (1.31:12), Matt Whitfield (1.33:15), Andy Blair (1.37:09), Alison Macdonald (1.44:29), Alison Cole (1.44:53), Sharon Plested (1.45:55), Dave Hartley (1.49:01), Alan Durston (1.52:04), Paul Plested (1.52:13) and Lisa Jenkins (2.04:54).
