A TEAM from West Cheshire AC celebrated success at the Tattenhall Tough Team Race.

Dave Alexander, Rob Tudor and Steve Skates clocked a winning time of 57 minutes 50 seconds after covering the nine miles multi-terrain race, started by Olympic torchbearer Alex Staniforth, 16, of Kelsall.

Wrexham AC duo Daniel Weston and Darren Rowlands joined West Cheshire’s Laura Bestow to secure second place in 63:37.

Rosemary Rogers of Deestriders posted 47 minutes 15 seconds at the Penny Lane Striders 10k.

The club was also represented by Mark Povey (48:20) and Julie Wood (49:58).
