TOM Booth and Bryony Potter hit top form to brighten up an otherwise disappointing day for West Cheshire AC on Sunday.

A series of victories from the duo were not enough to prevent the club from being relegated from the Northern Premier Division of the Young Athletes Track and Field League.

Tom won both the under 17 men’s 100m hurdles (15.5 seconds) and 400m hurdles (61.1), and clinched success in the B 1,500m steeplechase (5:37.0).

And Bryony battled her way home to victory in the U17 women’s 300m in a time of 42.6 seconds, after finishing second in both the 100m (13.3) and 200m (26.6).

Alice Jennings cleared 1.55m for a victory in the U15 girls high jump and blasted her way to top spot in the 100m (13.1 seconds), while Leah Ferrie won the 200m (27.3) and anchored the 4x100m relay team to success.
