WEST Cheshire AC have captured a fistful of county medals.

The club returned home from the Cheshire Track Relay Championships at Macclesfield after producing a string of impressive performances.

Sian Kelman, Emily Done, Shona Valentine and Rachel Stoakley combined to secure gold medals in the ladies 4x100m after posting a winning time of 50.3 seconds.

Amy Williams, Tess Corr, Charlotte Williamson and Georgia Barlow teamed up to capture gold medals in the under 11 girls 4x100m relay with a time of 60.0 seconds.

The U13 girls quartet of Olivia Montez- Brown, Kelly Baker, Lucy Earl and Laura Rigby secured gold medals in the 4x100m relay in 57.0 seconds. And the foursome of Alice Jennings, Alice McMahon, Jenny Potter and Danielle Erskine combined to win gold medals in the U15 girls 4x100m relay (51.9 seconds).

The U13 girls trio of Lydia Perry, Olivia Montez-Brown and Abbie Ritchie finished with silver medals in the 3x800m relay after posting a time of eight minutes, 26.1 seconds.

And the U15 girls 3x800m medley relay squad of Alice Jennings, Alice McMahon, Jenni Potter and Danielle Erskine finished second in 2:40.4.

The quartet of David Donkin, Sam Rimmer, Joseph O’Riordan and Stephen Jones captured silver medals in the U15 boys 4x100m relay with a time of 51.9 seconds.

Tom Booth, Aiden Stoakley, Nick Crawshaw and Robbie Dagnall posted 45.8 seconds for second spot in the U17 men’s 4x100m relay, and then combined to earn silver medals in the medley relay with a time of 2:17.4.

Tom Price, Lewis Emmett, Tom Walley and Mike Downes combined to secure silver medals in the men’s 4x100m relay with a time of 45.2 seconds.

Bronze medal winners were the U15 boys medley relay quartet of Liam Renton, Stephen Jones, Joseph O’Riordan and Sam Rimmer, who clocked 2:33.5.

James McMahon, Daniel Vickers, Joshua Bate and Connor Rowbottom teamed up for third spot in the U11 boys 4x100m relay with a time of 61.9 seconds.

Amy Williams, Charlotte Williamson and Georgia Barlow combined for bronze medals with a time of 6:21.1 in the U11 girls 3x600m relay.

West Cheshire’s Leah Ferrie and Abbie Williams combined to secure bronze medals representing North East Wales in the U15 girls 4x100m relay at the Welsh Schools Track and Field Championships, at Brecon.

Leah finished fourth in the 100m with a time of 13.1 seconds and fourth in the 200m (27.2), while Abbie posted 12.4 seconds for fourth spot in the 80m hurdles.

West Cheshire have virtually guaranteed their place in next month's Northern Track and Field League promotion match.

A sprint double by Bryony Potter, victories by Sian Kelman (long jump) and Dave McKay (javelin), and a new pole vault best by Carl van Schie ensured West Cheshire finished second in their third round match at Carlisle.

Fixtures this weekend include the English Schools Track and Field Championships at Gateshead from Friday and the Olympic trials at Birmingham’s Alexander Stadium featuring West Cheshire AC’s Dave McKay in the men’s javelin.
