GOLDEN girl Amy Williams has bagged yet another medal.
The 13-year-old from Dee Banks, Chester, won the under 15 girls long jump in Sunday’s UKA Young Athletes’ League Final.
Amy, a pupil of The Queen’s School, leapt 5.39m while representing her club, Sale Harriers, at the Alexander Stadium in Birmingham. She had progressed through a series of regional rounds to reach the weekend’s national finals day.
The teenager, already the reigning U15s English Schools long jump champion, was unbeaten in Young Athletes’ League action all season.
Her display on Sunday helped Sale finish third overall. Amy makes the 44-mile trip to the club’s Manchester base three times a week.
