WEST Cheshire AC bagged two gold medals at the North West Track and Field Championships.

Jenni Potter and Rachel Treloar notched up victories at the Stretford event.

Jenni achieved 32.36m in the under 20 women’s hammer and Rachel clocked 13.16 seconds for a gold medal in the under 20 women’s 100m.

West Cheshire AC’s Rob Tudor finished third in a time of 26 minutes and 42 seconds at the Birkenhead Park Five Miles Road Race, just three seconds behind runner-up Mark Keeley (Liverpool Harriers). Eventual winner James Riley (Liverpool Harriers) posted 26:16.

Fixtures this weekend include the Young Athletes Track and Field League fourth round at Crewe on Sunday (11.30am start), the Northern Track and Field Championships at SportCity, Manchester, on Saturday and Sunday, the Chester Race For Life Women’s Race on Sunday (9am start) and the British Masters 5k Road Championships at Horwich on Sunday (10.45am start).
