WEST Cheshire AC grabbed glory at the North West Sportshall League Final.

The event was staged at Kingsway Leisure Centre, Widnes.

West Cheshire’s under 15 boys squad of James McMahon, Matthew Pagan, Cameron Weaver, Chris Harrop and Zac Barnsley combined to earn top spot in the team competition.

Harrop won the six-lap race and Weaver was runner-up, while Barnsley won the two-lap final and standing triple jump and Pagan won the four lap final. McMahon won the vertical jump and shot put titles and was second in the four-lap. Harrop, McMahon, Pagan and Barnsley then triumphed in the 4x2 lap relay.

Emily Ball, Samhilda McGonigle, Georgia Barlow, Sophie Carter, Victoria Smith, and Vanessa Ozeemelam combined for the U15 girls team.

Ball won the standing long jump and shot put titles, and was second in the two-lap final, while Barlow took gold in the four lap and finished second in the standing triple jump, and Ozeemelam was second in the vertical jump.

Sophie Hemingbrough, Abbie Williams, Beth McMahon, Alice Barnsley and Emma Howe teamed up for West Cheshire’s U13 girls squad.

Barnsley won the two-lap, was third in the standing triple jump and third in the standing long jump, and Hemingbrough was second in the six-lap.

Taylor Kearns, Jac Goodall, Ewan Brandon, Ethan Milligan, Jack Jones, Tom Harrop, Mitchel Collins and Joseph Morrison represented West Cheshire’s U13 boys.

Goodall and Kearns finished second and third respectively in the shot put.

West Cheshire also had U11 girls and U11 boys teams in action.
