WEST Cheshire’s girls spearheaded the club’s charge at the second round of the Cheshire Track and Field League held at Stanney Oaks.

Leah Ferrie posted 26.8 seconds in the under 15 girls 200m, while Alice McMahon (27.3), Danielle Erskine (28.0) and Alice Jennings (29.2) won their races.

Jenni Potter, Karri Broster and Ashlea Allen also contributed before McMahon, Jennings, Ferrie and Erskine won the 4x100m relay.

Laura Rigby posted 28.7 for second spot in the U13 girls 200m, while Olivia Montez-Brown (30.5) and Kelly Baker (30.1) won their races.

Olivia (2:41.5) and Abbie Rithie (2:44.8) finished first and third in the A 800m race, while Sally Pickering (2:56.6) won the B race and Laura Rigby was third (3:08.2).

Kelly Baker cleared 1.31m for second spot in the high jump, and Lucy Earl secured second in the B event with 1.20m.

The quartet of Montez-Brown, Baker, Earl and Rigby won the sprint relay in 58.0.

James McMahon (3.70m) and Daniel Vickers (3.45m) won the U11 boys long jump events, supported in the age group by William Menzies, Josh Bate, Charlie Lloyd, and Jack Johnston.

Amy Williams (10.9), Charlotte Williamson (11.8) and Georgia Barlow (11.2), won their U11 girls 75m races, and Tess Corr was second in 12.0.

Amy (3.99m) and Charlotte (3.36m) won in the long jump, while Olivia Williams (12.34m) and Sophie Baker (10.30m) finished third A and second B respectively in the soft javelin.

And the quartet of Williams, Williamson, Barlow and Corr won the sprint relay in 60.6.

Alan Littler was the only senior man in action, scoring points in three events, and Kate Titlow was first lady in the 3,000m with 11:06.8.

Chris Goodwin won the U17 men's 1500m (4:35.5) and Tom Booth was fourth in 4:50.2.

Stephen Jones won the under 15 boys 100m (12.5), while Joseph O’Riordan posted 13.3 for second place, David Donkin won in 13.6 and Charlie Chempson won his race in 14.2.

Michael Bailiff (1.63m) and Joseph O’Riordan (1.48m) triumphed in the high jump and David Donkin won the B shot with 6.44m. The quartet of O’Riordan, Jones, Donkin and Clempson won the sprint relay in 53.7.
