WEST Cheshire AC secured silver medals at the North West Road Relay Championships at Sefton Park in Liverpool.

The under 13 boys trio of Cameron Weaver (12 minutes and 11 seconds), Mark Latham (12:28) and Joseph Morrison (12:55) completed the 3x3.3km course in a time of 37:34 for fourth position in the main event and second spot in the Cheshire championship.

Cameron Bradley (14:05), Tom Harrop (14:50) and Jack Johnson (15:04) were 15th in 43:59.

Mark Hearn (12:18), Connor Norbury (12:10) and Chris Harrop (13:05) bettered that position in the U15s boys race, finishing 13th overall and as the fourth-fastest Cheshire team.

Sophie Carter (16:24), Georgia Barlow (17:58) and Charlotte Mercer (18:20) were 24th overall and fifth in Cheshire in the U13s girls race and Natasha Tudor (14:14), Megan McEveley (14:29) and Emily Wood (16:38) 25th overall and sixth in Cheshire in the U15s girls.

Three West Cheshire AC members, meanwhile, represented Cheshire at the English Schools Combined Events Championships held in Exeter.

Olivia Montez Brown scored 3,959 points and Alice Jennings 3,206 points for seventh and 31st place respectively in the U17 women’s heptathlon as Victoria Anderson finished eighth in the U20 women’s heptathlon with 3,012.

Rob Tudor led the way for West Cheshire AC in the Shell Sutton Six 10k in Guilden Sutton.

He passed the post in sixth in 33 minutes and 37 seconds to take the over 45 men’s prize.

Clubmates James Docherty (14th in 35:21), Andrew Clague (20th in 36:33), Adam Parr (25th in 36:50), Neil Hershaw (40th in 38:16), Sydney Hodges (46th in 38:42), Max Woods (76th in 41:10), Neil Atkinson (83rd in 41:53), Lisa Davies (third over 40s lady and 110th in 45:11), Neil Carter (116th in 45:30), Richard Batterham (123rd in 45:51) and Sacha Kendall-Woods (149th in 48:07) followed up.

West Cheshire AC’s Andy Starkey came home in 81:07 for 167th position at the Great North Run.

Docherty sliced three minutes and 13 seconds off his previous best when finishing in one hour, 16 minutes and 46 seconds at the Lake Vyrnwy Half Marathon.

Iain Wedge (1.23:03), Sydney Hodges (1.26:44 PB) and Michael Gandy (1.41:39 PB) also turned out for Wests.

Mark Davies was West Cheshire AC’s first finisher at the second round of the Wirral Multi-Terrain League at Harrison Drive, clocking 26:47 for 22nd place.

He was backed up by Paul Frodsham (26th in 27:03), Clague (28th in 27:10), Russell Kirk (32nd in 27:25), Max Woods (52nd in 29:03), Atkinson (62nd in 29:39), Chris Rhodes (64th in 29:48), Bob Benson (95th in 31:58), Mark Povey (126th in 34:10), Kendall-Woods (30th lady in 34:02) and Angela Cook (49th lady in 36:37).
