MEMBERS of Rivacre AC were in action over the weekend at Partridge Lakes, Culcheth, Warrington.

Fishing the Pine Pool, top rod was Port angler Dougie Walsh with a mixed bag of mirrors, commons and F1s.

Walsh took 48lb 6oz of carp using a mixture of pellet and paste. Second place went to fellow Portite Ian Lloyd with 421lb 7oz of similar fish that fell to 4mm pellet on the pole.

Exactly 23lb of small tench and carp taken to pellet went to Jimmy Grimes, also of the Port, for second place. Steve Matthews and Kevin Dixon shared third spot, bagging 20lb of stockies.

Last Wednesday saw the second of the Lobol AC Summer League matches on the Priory Pool and a win for Jim Edwards.

He netted 10lb 9oz of aide, roach, crucians and skimmers on maggot and pellet to finish ahead of Peter Cook by a few ounces. Cook took aide, crucians and a single tench weighing 10lb 4oz alternating between worm and pellet.
