KEVIN Williams took a stunning haul of 154-1-0 to win the Tuesday Rovers AC match.

Fished on Long Island pool at the Hampton Springs Fishery, his catch included a carp to 12-0-0. Second-placed Andy Griffiths could not get near with 77-10-0.

Geoff Dentith clinched the Upton AC match on the Burton Mere Fishery’s beech pool. A 28-0-0 carp total was better than Pete Ashton’s 23-8-0.

St Theresa’s AC on Long Island pool also threw up a big catch, with Keith Potts of 81-0-0 seeing off Dave Meaney’s 37-0-0.

No-one could match Steve Andrews in the Ellesmere Port British Legion’s AC match on Todds Pool at Tarvin Sands Fishery. Ending with 103-4-0 of carp, he dwarfed John Woolley with 17-0-0 on the next peg.

The Grosvenor Estate AC match on the Dee at Radley Woods went to Ron Evans with 1-0-0. Only John Mort came near with 9-0.

Andy Amos took the Airbus AC match on the Carr Mill Dam pool with roach and skimmers for 11-5-0, beating Matt Carroll with similar at 10-8-0.

Michael Coleclough again took first in the Blacon Sports and Social Club AC match on Milton Green Fishery.

Taking carp to sweetcorn, he weighed in 59-8-0, too good for Tony Buckley on 26-0-0.

John Tyreman landed first in the Rake and Pikel match on the Border fishery. His carp to 65-0-0 pushed Gary White’s 48-0-0 into second.

Malpas AC fished on local waters, and Alan Jones’ 10-7-9 was enough to win. Kevin Turner’s 3-8-0 was second.

The Lobol match at the beech pool went to George Edwards’ 58-4-0 carp and barbel mix, with Sid Robinson on 34-0-0 of carp.

A 3-8-0 tench helped Wayne Moore to victory in the Rivacre AC match on the Shropshire Union Canal at Pretty Bridge. His 5-6-0 of bits beat Billy Gore’s 1-2-0.

Paul Robb won the Milton Brook fishery open with a mixed 10-12-0, while Jim Gresty led the midweek open on the Tarvin Sands Fishery with bream for 18-6-0, and Alan Hartley won their Saturday match with mixed for 56-2-0.

Airbus flyfishers went to Derbyshire’s Foremark Reservoir, with Adam Goodyear and Arthur Evans sharing first with five rainbows each to 12-2-0.

Northwest flyfishers went to the Cartington Reservoir and Phil Burgess took 9-7-0 to an orange lure. Rob Denny won the Hampton Springs Fishery with 102-1-0 on rock pool.
