UNBEATEN Amy Williams spent the entire athletics season setting remarkable new personal landmarks.

The 10-year-old Abbey Gate School pupil chalked up age group wins across the region and has even stepped up to under 13s level and tasted success there too.

At the Cheshire Championships at Macclesfield, she won the girls multi-event (a junior version of the heptathlon) with a score of 196 points, beating the 12-year-old Cheshire record by 24 points.

The performance capped a season in which West Cheshire AC athlete Amy had remained unbeaten in the 75m sprint, long jump and sprint relay – in which she claimed a county title by running the anchor leg for the winning Cheshire team in Macclesfield.

She won silver in the North West junior multi- event at Sport City in Manchester, winning two of the four events and recording personal bests in both the long jump and 75m.

At one league match she was even asked to run in the U13s 100m and ran a personal best of 14.3 seconds as she took gold.

Amy also represented her school at the National ISA Championship in Birmingham and won two golds and a bronze medal in the long jump, 150m and relay respectively.
