ALDFORD School is celebrating national success in athletics.

Six children attended the ISA National Athletics Championships at the Alexander Stadium in Birmingham and competed against children from schools all over the country. Charlotte Williamson, Amy Williams, Nia and Beth Jones set a new national record, winning the under 11 relay.

Another national record breaker was Danielle Macready in the under 11 high jump. Amy Williams won gold in the U11 long jump and bronze in the 150m Sprint. Nia Jones collected a bronze medal for the U11 600m, while Jack Allwood competed in the U11 high jump against children a year above him.

Aldford School is the junior and infant department of Abbey Gate College.
