Youngsters enjoyed a friendly football tournament at Goals Soccer Centre in Chester at the beginning of the half term holiday.
The event was arranged by Newton Athletic Under 8s and Under 10s team coach Ben Heath following a similar event before Christmas last year.
He said: “Due to so many games being called off recently and nothing much going on in the area for the teams I organised my own for teams I’ve come across that have the same philosophy as me.
'Parents could only say hard luck and well done
“Too many teams have coaches screaming and parents shouting so I decided to put some rules in place so coaches/parents could only say hard luck and well done nothing else.
“The tournament was organised for the kids to enjoy with no pressure.
“All parents were asked not to be vocal and just let the kids play and make their own decisions. The coaches loved it and the players more so.”
Teams participating included Newton, Blacon, Llay, Chester Nomads, Upton JFC and Ellesmere Port.
