Super League giants Warrington Wolves are running a one-day rugby league skills camp for children in Chester this week.

Taking place on Friday, August 21, the camp is being delivered in partnership with community team Chester Gladiators and will be held at The Cheshire County Sports Club in Upton.

Ex-England full-back Shaun Briscoe, whose long Super League career included spells with Wigan Warriors and Widnes Vikings, will be the lead coach for the camp with additional coaches from Warrington's Wolves Foundation and Chester Gladiators.

The camp, which is open to boys and girls aged 6-11, costs £10 per child and runs from 10am until 2.30pm. It will include skills, drills and games and no previous experience of rugby league is needed.

Paul Foster, club development officer for Chester Gladiators, said: "We're delighted to be working with Warrington Wolves to deliver what will be a fantastic day for the children.

"Warrington have recognised the development of our club over the past 18 months and see Chester as a real growth area for rugby league, and hopefully we produce some Super League players of our own in the future."

Places can be booked now but numbers are limited. For more details call 07512 355396 or email info@chestergladiators.com.
