A CLOSELY fought game saw Waverton Hornets hold on for a 6-5 win, their first victory of the season, at home to Princes Villa in the junior league under 11s.

Isaac Gore Rees got a hat-trick and there were goals for his Waverton team-mates Dominic Stanton (2) and Ben Moody. Waverton MoM was Samuel Jenkins

The winter weather didn’t stop Chester Nomads turning up the heat on Hope Farm with a 9-0 win. Scorers were Owain Ap Gareth, Sean Maddocks, Marco Apollonio, MoM Luke Chard, Isaac Robinson, George Back, Harvey France and Dominic Doherty.

A tough tie between Blacon Youth and Malpas was won 1-0 through a Jack Rawlings goal for Blacon. Josh Rawlings was named MoM.

Boughton celebrated a 3-1 victory over Castrol.

In the U12s, Whitby Rangers beat Pulford 3-1.

Westminster Park Lions used their home advantage to beat Waverton Bees 4-0, Jay Gilmartin (2) Chris McCartney and Matthew Langford on target. MoM was Gilmartin.

Hope Farm celebrated a 4-2 win at home to Upton.

Malpas put seven past Newton Athletic in the U13s in a 7-3 win. Newton’s scorers were MoM Chris Kelsey (2) and Jack Evans.

Princes Villa enjoyed an 8-1 victory over Castrol Athletic as Dominic Roberts and Callum Glover grabbed hat-tricks. Ryan Pimblett scored a brace.

Saughall Colts celebrated a 5-1 victory against Waverton in difficult conditions. Goals were from Sam Davies (2), Yuseph Bakir and Luke Hitchman (2). Luke Munday was MoM.

Saughall Colts defeated Chester Nomads 6-0 in the U14s, Adam Howell, Matty Taylor (2) and Guy Byrne (3) with the goals.

Unbeaten Boughton continued their run of good form with a 3-0 win over Hope Farm in the U15s.

Top scorer Stevie Lee-Butler struck first before MoM Matthew Wait and Charlie Roberts also scored.

Upton North beat Whitby Strikers 6-1 and Castrol Athletic went one better with a 6-0 win over Tattenhall.

In the U16s, Christleton New Scene lost 3-1 at home to Pulford and Waverton fell 6-0 against Rossway.

Saughall Colts suffered a 5-2 defeat at Whitby. Sam Patchitt was named MoM.

Upton beat Barnston Panthers 2-0 in the Ellesmere Port Junior League with goals from Jake Stanley and Tom Andrews.

In the Wallasey and District Youth League, Chester Nomads Youth beat Irby Youth 3-2 with goals from James Towey, Alex Howarth and Jack McPaul.
