HOOLE Hornets overcame the wet conditions in the Chester and District League under 11s division as they beat hosts Saughall Colts 7-2.

Elliot Long was strong in defence for Saughall and moved forward to provide some excellent play in the midfield to deserve his man-of-the-match award. However, goals from Sam Wynn-Hughes, Allessandro Malletta (2), Dan Vickers, Alex Lee-Codling and Hornets MoM Patrick Prewitt-Vagner (2) saw the visitors home. Aiden Gorman and Spencer Rogers were on target for Saughall.

Malpas beat Hope Farm 9-0 while Waverton Bees defeated Waverton Hornets 5-0.

In the U12s section, Chester Nomads Colts drew 4-4 at home to Waverton Wasps. Charlie Derbyshire and MoM James Ingleby Jones each got two for Nomads.

Malpas registered an 8-0 victory over visitors Whitby Rangers. First-half goals from Tom Hayton (3), Joel Nevitt (2) and skipper Jack Flaherty got Malpas started, with Hayton adding two more in the second half to take his personal tally to five. MoM was shared by Malpas’ Ryan Lewis and Nevitt.

Boughton emerged 9-0 victors from their home match against Westminster Park Lions. A hat-trick from Charlie Jones, two each from Luke Wilson and Dan Jones and single efforts from Tom Chrimes and Callum Owen did the job.

Chester Nomads finished all square in their U14s match at home against Malpas & District. Malpas led 2-0 at half-time through Charlie Horrocks and Alex Hailes. Nomads bounced back after the break with goals from Lloyd Smith and Jack Dilworth. Malpas MoM was Lawrence Brown, Nomads’ was Christian Gunther.

Vicars Cross Dynamos were just edged out at home in the U15s, losing 3-2 to Tattenhall. Michael Treen gave Dynamos the lead and William Harris got their second, but Lewis Jones (2) and MoM Jamie Cattell put Tattenhall’s noses in front.

Christleton New Scene enjoyed a big 10-3 victory over Whitby Strikers. The winning goals were shared between Sam Manton, Lewis Dransfield, Ben Keable, Zak Threadgold, Jay Coan, Josh Morgan-Jones, Cal Parry and Simon Reynolds.

Whitby Strikers also played Pulford at home and lost 5-0.

Christleton New Scene’s U16s division side put together a solid 10-1 win over Hope Farm, with Daniel Reed, Mike Newman, Kosta Alexopolous, Sean Salmon, Mike Byrne, Ian Holland and Jordan Finlay all scoring.
