A KYLE Bradbourn brace and a man-of-the-match performance from Henry McIntyre ensured Westminster Park Cougars edged a hard-fought Chester & District Junior League Under 10s Red Division encounter at home to Upton Pumas 2-1 on Saturday.

Blue Division title challengers Malpas & District Reds (Tom Lister 2, Devon Round 2, Max Johnson, Miles Meredith, MoM Fin Kelly, Oscar Welsh) won 8-0 at home to Elton, for whom Callum Coleclough was MoM.

Seemingly-unstoppable JFC Boughton (Johnny Nixon 3, MoM Taylor Williams 3, Joe Slawson 2, Tyler Woods) stormed to a 9-1 home success over Waverton Jets in the Green Division.

Jack Wareing was Centurions’ MoM in their 3-0 home loss to second-placed Upton Panthers, who are six points behind Boughton.

Inspired by MoM Alexander, Vicars Cross Dynamos (Sam Ward 2, Tom Walsh 2, Cam Bradley, Thomas Townsend, Tom Wyatt) kept the pressure on Yellow Division leaders Blacon Youth White with a 7-0 home win over Westminster Park Tigers.

Blacon (MoM Harley Bennion, Sam Carroll, Kieron Ball, Callum Staff) won 4-2 at Westminster Park Lions (Stephen Carter, Charlie Jones), for whom MoM Kieran Davies and goalkeeper Jack Appleyard stood out. There was also a 4-2 victory for Waverton Rockets at home to Upton Jaguars.
