MALPAS & District Reds boosted their Chester & District Junior League Under 10s Blue Division title challenge with a 4-0 home victory over fellow high flyers Castrol Athletic on Saturday.

The third-placed visitors were dogged by illness but that did not stop them from playing their part in a highly entertaining contest which was ultimately decided by a stunning hat-trick from man of the match Lewis Neal.

An own goal completed the scoring for second-placed Malpas, who remain two points shy of Vauxhall Motors Astra after the table toppers won 9-0 at home to Elton Youth. Callum Coleclough did not deserve to be on the losing side.

Christleton Newscene’s perfect start to the Red Division goes on. The pacesetters powered to a 6-0 success at second-placed Vauxhall Motors Corsa to rack up their sixth win in as many matches.

Upton Pumas moved up to third with a 2-1 triumph at Blacon Youth Blacks, for whom Callum Moore was on target and Tyler Cameron was MoM.

Blacon Youth Whites are looking unstoppable in the Yellow Division. They made it 24 points from a possible 24 with a 9-0 victory at Waverton Rockets given to them by MoM Harley Bennion (3), Kieron Ball (3), Brandon Burrows, Sam Carroll and Callum Staff.

Second-placed Vicars Cross Dynamos were also in free-scoring form as they stormed to 9-1 success at Westminster Park Lions through Joe Cody (3), Tom Walsh (3) and MoM Rory Harper (2) strikes and an own goal.

Westminster Park Tigers fared better, winning 2-1 at home to Upton Jaguars.

JFC Boughton maintained their 100% winning Green Division record with a 7-0 home romp over a battling Centurions team. Louis Robson (2), Francois Antoine (2), Daniel Wait, Joe Slawson and Connor Spencer-Wilson shared the strikes for the leaders, for whom Tyler Woods was MoM.

Second-placed Upton Panthers won 3-0 at home to Castrol Rangers.

Tarvin Athletic are off the mark in the Under 10s Blue Division.

They secured their first victory of the season on Saturday as late Harry Redrup and Sam Grinter goals sealed a 2-0 home success over Waverton Rockets. Reuben Hewish was man of the match for Tarvin.

Newton Athletic made it eight triumphs on the trot thanks to Ryan Horuz, who earned the pacesetters a 1-0 home win over Waverton Arrows.

There was also a 1-0 victory for Vicars Cross Dynamos, at home to Upton Panthers in the Red Division. Archie Gautier was the Dynamos match-winner and Jack Carron-Thompson their MoM.

Vauxhall Motors Zafira took over from the Panthers at the top after they won 4-3 at Park Saints.

Newton Athletic Eagles moved within two points of pole position in the Yellow Division after they edged a closely-fought affair at home to Helsby 4-2. MoM Danny Reisin fired a treble for the Eagles and Jake Raynor a single.

On-fire Blacon Youth extended their advantage at the top of the Green Division with a 2-0 win at Malpas & District Blacks. A Jack Lockley cracker broke the deadlock before Marsell Aziamale completed the scoring for Blacon, for whom Robbie Davies and Kian Jones shared the MoM honours.
