A FINE second-half performance, inspired by man of the match Luke Young, ensured Park Saints secured a well-deserved 4-1 home victory over Malpas & District in Chester & District Junior League Under 16s Division One.

Jeff Norris (2), Guy Byrne and Stuart Swift struck for the Saints with Olie Gibbens offering a consolation for battling Malpas, whose MoM was goalkeeper Tom Formstone.

Vicars Cross Dynamos cruised to a 4-0 win at Pulford, for whom James Lewis was named MoM.

Led by MoM Lloyd Smith, Chester Nomads (Caleb Dolling 3, Anthony Grubb, Jack Dilworth, Matthew Jones, OG) won 7-2 at home to Westminster Park in Division Two.

Waverton and Newton Athletic Eagles dropped points for the first time as they drew 3-3 away to Hope Farm Rangers and at home to Rossway respectively.

MoM Callum Craig and Izaac Allmark netted for Rossway.

Bradley Thorpe was MoM and Jonathon Alas, Jack Davies, George Mecklenburgh, Blake Dodds, Luke Laws and Jordan Gregory got the goals in Elton’s 6-2 home success over Blacon Youth (Andrew Holmes 2; Lloyd Davies MoM).

Blacon Youth won their big top-of-the-table Under 12s Division clash at home to Ellesmere Port 1-0.

The hosts took the points thanks to in-form Harry Riley’s first-half penalty save, Keenan Beaumont’s second-half strike and a man-of-the-match display from James Lloyd.

Leaders Malpas & District (Josh Charlton 2, Izaak Lambert, Christophe Fostier, Patrick Horrocks, Harry Cunningham 2, Kieran Rose) won 8-4 at Waverton, while a best performance of the season could not stop Westminster Park (Ben Russell, Callum Corrigan) from going down 3-2 at home to Newton Athletic (Henry Smith, Matty Sutch, Louie Larson). Joseph Brackenbury and Liam Eldridge starred for Park; James Collinson for Newton.
