THE big Chester & District Junior League Under 9s Blue Division clash between Christleton Newscene and Blacon Youth ended in a 0-0 draw on Saturday.

And that result allowed Westminster Park Panthers to take over at the summit with a 7-0 success over Westminster Park Lions given to them by Ollie Parr (3), Callum Woosey (2), Arthur Devaney and Charlie Rosedale, who shared his side’s man of the match honour with Reuben Wardle. Jake Smith and Louis Frier starred for the Lions.

Red Division leaders Upton Pumas (Luke Charlton 3, Paddy Lally, MoM Mac Johnston, Oscar Boulton, Ciaran Hughes) made it six wins from six as they beat Upton Panthers 7-0.

Chester Nomads were 5-0 winners at home to Blacon Youth Tigers with MoM Harrison Burke, Charlie Fleet and David Mitchell the boys on target, while Newton Athletic matched that scoreline at home to Elton Youth (MoM – Jamie Douglas)

Malpas & District Reds (Dane Tinsley 2, Luis Edwards 2; MoM – Adam Dennett) lead the Yellow Division after their 4-2 victory at Groves.

It’s all level at the top of the Green Division after Vicars Cross Dynamos (James Dolly, Patrick O’Brien, Alex Craig, James Pickering; MoM – Oliver Mulholland) won 4-3 at home to Saughall Colts and Malpas & District Blacks (MoM – Patrick Norman) fell 4-0 away to Princes Villa.
