CHESTER CITY manager Mark Wright has identified a right winger who he hopes to add to his championship chasing squad, prior to the transfer deadline later this month.
"We have watched a number of right-sided players in the last few weeks, and I shall be talking to my chairman in the next day or so, and hopefully we will make a move for the player who we consider would strengthen our squad.
"I cannot name him at the moment, for obvious reasons I don't want to alert other clubs," said Wright last night.
City are next in action on Saturday, when play-off chasing Morecambe visit the Deva Stadium.
Midfield player Danny Williams, who injured his back during last weekend's victory against Burton Albion, trained yesterday and should be fit for the game.
Wright was at Flint Town's ground last night, watching the former Doncaster Rovers and Rush-den striker Justin Jackson playing for City's Reserve team against Vauxhall Motors in a Lancashire League fixture.
The 28-year-old player is currently a free agent after leaving Accrington Stanley at the turn of the year and he is looking to earn a contract with the Nationwide Conference leaders.
The final scheduled Conference game of the season at Hereford Utd on April 24 will be all-ticket, and tickets will be available to Chester season ticket-holders today, between 10am and 7pm at the Deva Stadium box office.
Tickets will be available to the general public tomorrow, at the rate of one per person. Any remaining tickets will be sold following Saturday's game against Morecambe. Prices are: Stand seats £12, and terrace tickets £10. Sales will be for cash only (no cheques).
