CHESTER City boss Mark Wright had talks with three more prospective signings yesterday, as he continued to build his squad for life in the Third Division next season.

Wright, who has already snapped up the influential Morecambe midfield player Stewart Drummond on a two year contract, hopes to final-ise at least two more signings in the next few days.

"The quality of player we are targeting are those people we consider who would be equipped to play not only in Division Three, but also at a higher level than that.," said the City boss.

One player who is under consideration, is a man who has Premier League experience, and is out of contract this summer.

Meanwhile, Wright reacted strongly to continuing reports linking City's leading scorer Daryl Clare with a return to Boston United.

"These articles are mischievous and annoying, and I've lost count of a number of times that we have said that Daryl is staying at Chester City," said Wright.
