VAUXHALL MOTORS ended a run of three Nationwide Conference North defeats with this hard-fought draw at St George's Lane.

Motors keeper Dittmer made two fine saves in the opening half, either side of their best move of the game. After Warmer had fired wide when well placed, Dittmer produced his first stop at the expense of Lyttle, a point blank header at the far post from Warmer's free-kick.

On 38 minutes O'Donnell's fierce drive seemed destined for the top near corner until McDonnell managed to palm it away.

While tempers and frustrations increased on the resumption, sadly the finishing from both sides did not.

Worcester flashed a number of shots either high or wide of the target, as they tried their best to unsettle a resolute defence, while the Motormen were similarly wayward on less frequent occasions at the other end.

The draw leaves Macauley's side a point adrift at the foot of the table and they are back in action again tomorrow night, when they play host to league leaders Stafford Rangers at Rivacre Park (7.45pm), hoping to put a dent in their title aspirations.
