LEE Woodyatt has followed Steve McNulty out of the Vauxhall Motors exit door.

The 23-year-old former Chester City right-back this week signed a one-year deal for Blue Square North rivals Barrow.

Woodyatt's move to Holker Street sees him link up with former Motors skipper McNulty, who quit Rivacre Park earlier this summer.

Barrow boss Phil Wilson said: 'We spoke to a few people and we are pleased that Lee has come to the club. Steve (McNulty) has said he is 100% and will run through a brick wall for you.

'He's got decent pace and he's a good tackler when needed.'

In a further blow for the Motormen, assistant boss Carl Spellman has stepped down.
