CHRISTLETON stormed into the quarter-finals of the West Cheshire League Division Three Shield with a 6-0 derby success at Blacon Youth Club Reserves on Saturday.

Hat-trick hero Steve Morgan, Steve Finley (2) and Rob McDowell were on target for the Little Heath side.

Upton AA Reserves and Capenhurst Villa Reserves crashed out at the first-round stage after going down to 5-3 defeats away to Runcorn Town Reserves and at home to Prescot Cables Reserves respectively.

Luke Eccles, Ryan James and Justin McNally reduced the deficit for Capenhurst.

Capenhurst Villa fell to a 5-1 Division Two defeat to Marshalls, with Andy Newlands offering a consolation for the visitors.

Tarporley Victoria were knocked off the top of Cheshire League Division Two on Saturday after their six-match unbeaten run was ended by a 3-2 home loss to Barnton.
