AIRBUS UK Broughton welcome the S4C live cameras to the Airfield on Saturday for their first home game of the Welsh Premier League campaign.

The Wingmakers were unlucky to lose their season opener at The New Saints and will be hoping for a change in fortune for the visit of a Carmarthen Town team manager Andy Preece rates highly.

Preece’s under-strength side were beaten by a late Simon Spender strike at Park Hall last Friday.

But they did more than enough against defending champions to suggest they can be a force.

Mark Cadwallader and Mike Hayes missed golden opportunities either side of Spender’s 73rd-minute winner while Saints’ centre-back Steve Evans was fortunate not to give away a penalty and earn himself a red card.

Airbus boss Preece said: “To go to the home of the champions and give them plenty to think about gives us something to build on.”

Preece took a skeleton squad to TNS but expects to have more bodies available for Saturday’s televised Carmarthen clash, which kicks-off at 3.45pm.

Preece has signed defender Steve Tomassen on loan from Wrexham and handed a deal to former Everton reserve team striker Stephen Connor, who had been on trial at Chester FC.

He has also swooped for former Barrow FA Trophy-winning captain and centre-back Paul Jones.
