AIRBUS UK Broughton are “chomping at the bit” to continue their hex over Newtown.

The Wingmakers have not lost to the Robins in the Welsh Premier League for three years and, having seen Friday night’s trip to Bangor City rained off, are desperate to take out their frustrations on Saturday’s visitors to the Airfield (2.30pm).

Airbus boss Craig Harrison said: “The lads will be chomping at the bit as they were disappointed the Bangor game was called off – they will be up for this game.

“It was frustrating for us but we have been training hard instead. It would have nice to have kept the momentum going after our win over Gap Connah’s Quay, but it didn’t happen.”

Harrison will be without suspended midfield anchorman Ashley Williams for the clash with Newtown who, like the Wingmakers, like to play the game in the right way.

“Newtown are a decent team, they will try and get the ball down and pass it, same as us,” said Harrison.

“Our pitch is brilliant this season, a great surface to play on, so it should be a good football game, hopefully.”
