ALSAGER Faculty completed a first-class double by winning the Combined Division with a 6-3 victory over nearest rivals Congleton Athletic on Saturday.

A Craig Robson hat-trick and single strikes from Danny Morgan, Stuart Horn and Matty Pollock gave the students their second piece of silverware with Pete Lomas's treble proving scant consolation for Congleton.

Having already won the AJ Cooke Trophy, the Faculty are now on course for a treble as they will meet the winner of tonight's Inter-League Cup semi-final between Bentley and Royal Oak in Saturday's final at the Cumberland Arena.

They needed a penalty shootout to win their own semi last Wednesday after their clash with Bollington Athletic ended 1-1 after extra-time. Keeper Mark Warburton was the hero, saving two spot-kicks as the students won 4-2.

Bentley will also be chasing their second cup success of the season after lofting the Crewe FA Junior Shield on Saturday. A Craig Griggs double and a goal from Dyson Leitch helped them to a 3-2 win over Malpas.
