A SUPPORTERS trust has been launched at Runcorn with the aim of finding a new home for the club.

The Linnets Independent Supporters Trust also want to build closer links between the fans and Conference North side.

Martin Fallon, of the steering group, said: "We are now working more closely with the club in several ways.

"We must ensure we do not forget our other aims, which include looking at whether the club can move back to Runcorn to a purpose-built facility."

An official launch is at Pavilions, Weston Point on Sunday, November 28 (6pm) and Fallon urged local people to come and support their endeavours. "If you are not a follower of Runcorn, if a stadium was built in Run-corn you would benefit," he said. "If you are a Runcorn fan who no longer attends games due to the club playing in Widnes, then please attend to show the support is still there if a move back to Runcorn was to happen.

"The Linnets Independent Supporters Trust is the only way that the new stadium dream can become reality."

The launch will commence at 6pm, with Pavilions showing the Newcastle v Everton and Liverpool v Arsenal matches live on the big screen beforehand.
