VAUXHALL Motors boss Carl Macauley is gearing his players up for two testing games in three days.

The Motormen host Redditch United at Rivacre Park on Saturday and then make the long trip to Worcester City on Monday.

Macauley's squad will be stretched to the limit on Saturday as Mike Garrity (hamstring) and Tom Rooney (groin) are injured and Lee Furlong and Lee Dames suspended.

Rooney, however, may be fit in time to feature at Worcester and Dames will have completed his ban.

Macauley said: 'The games are in very close proximity and we have major selection headaches with players unavailable. I am trying to bring players in, but clubs want silly money at this stage of the season so it is proving difficult to acquire the players I need as the fixture list becomes more frenzied.'

One player making his way out of the Rivacre Park exit door is keeper Tim Dittmer, who has signed for UniBond League club Radcliffe Borough for a small fee.

Dittmer lost the number one jersey to Sean Lake towards the end of last season and has already been out on loan this campaign to both Burscough and Radcliffe.

* On Sunday, Vauxhall's under 17s play host to rivals Ellesmere Port in the semi-final of the Cheshire Youth Cup. Kick-off is 11am.
