STEVEN GERRARD is expected to be passed fit to win his 100th England cap having joined up with the national side.
The Liverpool skipper went down clutching his knee during the second half of the Reds’ game with Chelsea yesterday.
Gerrard required on-field treatment from the Liverpool medical staff but recovered to finish the match as his side drew level at Stamford Bridge.
But the 32-year-old will undergo further tests with England today to see if he is ready for Wednesday’s game.
Jonjo Shelvey has been withdrawn from the squad with a thigh problem.
