PAUL COCKRAM hit the game's only goal for Octel against arch-rivals Castrol Tessuti in Sunday's clash of the titans, which may ultimately lead to a change in the balance of power in the Holiday Inn Ellesmere Port Sunday League's Premier Division.
Tessuti have dominated proceedings in recent years, and prior to Sunday's defeat were on course to lift the title for a record fourth year in succession.
The Ellesmere Port League is the only association in the district which still has two points for a win as opposed to the conventional three, and Octel are now three points clear of Tessuti who have just one game in hand.
On Friday evening it was business as usual for the big two, Octel winning easily against Strawberry and Tessuti crushing Dysett Rangers.
Carl Burns (3), Tony Ashton (2), Steve Salcedo (2) and Andy Boden were Octel's marksmen in their 8-2 success, while Tessuti enjoyed a 7-2 romp.
