CASTROL Tessuti continue their impressive form as they surge ahead in The Holiday Inn Ellesmere Port Premier Division.

A resounding 7-0 away win against Gunners Enterprise puts the in-form side five points ahead of nearest rivals Octel AFC, who have played three games less.

Goals came from Steve Morgan (2), Mark Ludgate, John Powell, Peter Boyle, Nick Cushing and Dave Cock-ram.

In another high-scoring game, The Woodlands trounced Cane Factory 6-2.

Netting for the home side were Simon Parker (2), Paul Jones (2), Iain Chapman and Paul Vickers, while Steve Griffiths and Sean McCone popped in a couple of consolation goals for the visitors.

The two bottom clubs saw Dysett Rangers and The Strawberry slug it out in an eight-goal thriller. Both teams came away with a share of the spoils with The Strawberry yet to win so far this season.

Kevin West (2), Damien Griffin and an own goal gave the home team a point, while Damien Walters, Darren Frodsham, Craig Jones and Paul Pritchard all hit the net for The Strawberry.

In the mid-table battle between St Saviour's and Vauxhall, the former came away with the points after a 3-2 victory.

Mike Sass and two strikes from Andy Dykes gave St Saviour's the points. John Farrell bagged a brace for the visitors.

In Division One, Cat Carpet Craft continue to impress after a thumping 7-1 home victory against strugglers Berwick Rovers. Goals from Martin McVeigh (2), Trevor Roberts, Simon Griffiths, Craig Tolley, Danny Lloyd and Mark Ford completed the rout.

The most entertaining game of the day was an 11-goal thriller when The Bull took on visitors CCU.

Tony Livens was the hero for The Bull after scoring four goals in a game that ended 6-5 to the home side.

The Phoenix lost at home by a solitary goal to MSC Eastham Rake, who had goalscorer Tony McGill to thank for the victory.

Sutton Way recorded an away victory against LPSC Strawberry 2-1, with Sean Done and Scott Rowley getting the goals.

And elsewhere, Kingkabs triumphed over bottom side St Saviour's Res 4-2 with Kevin Manning, John McLean, James Jones and Simon Hughes all getting on the scoresheet.

In Division Two, Ellesmere won 5-1 at Brown Horse to cement their place at the top of the table. Gary Williams netted twice alongside one goal apiece from Kevin Edwards and Dave Woodward.

High-flying Princes Rovers won convincingly at The Hoilday Inn.

The 7-2 scoreline produced a hat-trick from Rovers' Graham Davies, two from Chris Doyle, and goals from Steve Cullen and Steve Foden.

Parkside Rovers beat The Phoenix Res 3-1 thanks to two goals from Ian Kelly.

And struggling Sutton Rangers could only manage one goal at home against SCFC, who replied with six of their own.
