THE Crewe and District League will feature two divisions next season after six new clubs joined up.

New boys Denbigh, Old Vaults, Kidsgrove Carpets, Cuddington, Wheatsheaf and Lostock Gralam Reserves will compete in Division One, along with Sandbach Town and Winnington Reserves.

The Premier Division for 2006-07, which begins on Saturday September 2, will consist of: MMU Cheshire, Congleton Athletic, Crewe Reserves, Curshaws, Sandbach United, Sandbach, Bentley, Malpas Reserves, Bunbury and Winnington Avenue.

At the League's AGM, Curshaws ace Andy Jackson scooped the Top Scorer award for his 19 goals, Steve Richardson of Curshaws FC was handed the Harry Hough Trophy for Secretary of the Year, while Sandbach Town got the John Davies Trophy for Most Sporting Club. nSmall-sided football experts Soccersixes are set to launch a six-a-side league on the new synthetic surface at the Oakley Centre, West Street, Crewe.

It will kick-off next month and will run every Sunday from 4pm-6pm. There will be 24 teams split into three divisions, and matches will be 30 minutes long. Cost is £2.50 per player. To register, call
