What can Chester FC fans expect from Braintree Town in the opening game of the 2014-15 season?

Ahead of each game, The Chronicle will be getting the inside track on the Blues opponents from supporters and journalists who knows them best.

First up, Braintree fan Daniel Turner gives us the lowdown on the Iron's pre-season campaign, hopes for the new season and the dangermen to keep watch for:

It's been a summer of change at Cressing Road with a new manager and some new signings. How has pre-season gone and what's your mood heading into the new campaign?

This has probably been the best pre-season we've had in the past few years. We came from behind to beat Leyton Orient and Dagenham & Redbridge and obviously staying unbeaten is always postive

Braintree have won at Chester for the past two seasons under Alan Devonshire. Can we expect a similar kind of approach or has Danny Cowley put his own stamp on the team?

Chester away is going to be a very tough game for Braintree, especially coming into a new season with a new manager but I'm confident. We've done very well this pre-season under Danny, but on the other hand Chester have also had a very good pre-season too.

Which players would you consider to be the biggest dangers for Braintree? Have any of the new signings stood out in pre-season?

One of our ones to watch out for is Simeon Akinola. He's a very fast and skillful winger, always threatening the opposition including scoring an amazing goal at Bristol Rovers last season. Our new striker Micheal Cheek has had a good pre-season, bagging a few goals in so I would definitely suggest watching out for him as well.

What are your hopes and aims for the upcoming season? Danny Cowley said in an interview his target is to get to 50 points which seems sensible.

For this season I agree with Danny with the 50 points but this is such a tight league sometimes so we need to get something from each game in my opinion but if we are going to lose we still need to play well. At the end of the day we don't need to aim for promotion just yet so a top 10 finish is my target for this season.
