VAUXHALL Motors will be sick of the sight of Droylsden.

It is now two seasons running that they have been beaten 5-2 at Butchers Arms, the home of the Bloods.

Goals from James Ellison and Dan Parkinson were not enough for Motors on Monday as they were unable to build on their home fine 2-1 home win over Altrincham 48 hours earlier.

David Thompson and Parkinson netted in that match for Carl Macauley’s side, who had to play the final 25 minutes with 10 men after captain Tom Hannigan was sent off.

Motors, who are 10th in the Blue Square Bet North standings, host Gainsborough Trinity on Saturday (3pm) before making the long trip to Workington on Tuesday (7.45pm).

Under-strength Malpas twice led, through the in-form Luke Woollam and Rob Martin, before going down 4-2 to new boys Penlake on Saturday in their first home game of the Cheshire League Division Two season.

Tarporley Victoria produced an improved performance in losing 3-1 at Runcorn Town Reserves.

Alex Rowntree had opened the scoring for Vics, who then lost 3-0 at home to high-flying Barnton on Tuesday.
